Second "level" of those meals is getting something much bigger than mere quarry leaves. It's very easy to consistently inflate prepared meal stack sizes with leafs and alcohol as both of those quintuple the stack size of plant they are made from. "X roast " is actually 24 roasts with some specific value. Technically it's a bit less broken than it initially seems because the stack size counts. Trading prepared meals lavish is kinda boring because of how strong it is. They are rather cheesy and cheap strategies though. Largely neither relies on actual bugs IMHO. But for any reasonable age of a fortress you can just as well make crafts from stone, metal or whatever else and basically never run out anyway.Īs far as range of whether it's an exploit or not - I'd say neither infinite magma industry nor prepared meals are one. Once you have your magma industry up and running, it's more than feasible to have it churn infinite crafts. On top of that you can glaze clay stuff for basically free. Green glass has material value multiplier of 2 while earthenware from basic clay has 3 and stoneware from fire clay is 4. That reason is also why it's now strictly inferior to clay industry in this regard.
You can still freely produce green glass stuff in magma furnace, but now it actually makes more sense to just produce crafts instead of that one odd object. Value multiplier of serrated disk went down from 126 to 10 and the multiplier for masterwork quality went down from 5 to 2. Not sure about whether assigning the chair as study would give an advantage or not, as long as the chair is in their dining room it would probably count as the dorf owns it (but again, with overlapping rooms it might work differently). However they would get occational extra happy thoughts from owning a personal chair and table. This means that getting up to royal dining room value for each dorf would be much much harder with personal overlapping dining rooms, compared to a royal communal dining hall.Ī dorf would get the same happy thought from eating in a personal royal dining room compared to a royal dining hall. Overlapping rooms will drop in value, as the total value of the whole room gets divided up (at least it's like that for bedrooms, so I'd assume it's like that for dining rooms as well).
